Bandwidth The communications channel is a measure of the range of frequencies over which the carrier signal is allowed to vary. Since bandwidth of a channel is directly proportional to the amount of data that can be transmitted over it per unit time, channel bandwidth is sometimes measured as a data rate rather a frequency difference.

Delivery statuses List of delivery statuses received for messages, along with each status description, is provided below:
- Status -7 is Pending Message: Message sent to recipient network - waiting for confirmation of final delivery status from end operator. (This frequently occurs in cases of unavailable/absent subscribers, where this status remains until the subscriber is available and successfully receives the message).
- Status -5 is Message acknowledged: Message accepted, processed and forwarded currently waiting on additional updated statuses for the sent message.
- Status 0 is Delivered: Message was successfully delivered to the destination number.
- Status 1 is Rejected: Message length is invalid or the content of the message is incorrect: either no content was sent (empty message) or the amount of characters used was greater than 160 characters (for GSM 7-bit formatted messages with DCS values of 1) or 140 characters (for ISO-8859-1 messages with DCS values of 0 and 3).
- Status 9 is Undeliverable: Subscriber was not available for a specific period of time (subscriber was absent, phone is switched off), the message was sent to an unknown/invalid destination number or the subscriber is experiencing network related problems.
- Status 10 is Rejected: Invalid source address: Source address (SenderID) of message is incorrect because it either contains more than 11 alphanumeric characters(e.g. 'SenderIDTooLong'), or more than 18 digits in the international and local number format (e.g. 44123456789012345678).
- Status 11 is Invalid destination address: Message was sent to an unknown subscriber number, a number that has not been assigned to anyone by the operator. (This is often the case with numbers inputted incorrectly).
- Status 16 is Facility not supported: Message not delivered because the mobile phone does not support the specific feature of the message. (Frequently the case with older models of mobile equipment and hand-sets which can not support binary content, MMS or other more advanced messaging features).
- Status 18 is System failure: Message not delivered due to issues on the recipient's mobile operator network, sometimes caused by instances of network congestion on the operator's side due to high amounts of traffic.
- Status 50 is Destination blocked for sending: Destination network is currently unavailable for delivery on your account.
- Status 51 is Not enough money: Insufficient credits available in your TeleSign Mobile account, to resume sending, additional credits must be purchased.
- Status 52 is No price: Price for this destination network not set for your account contact your account manager for further information.
- Status 65 is Call Barred: Barring service for SMS, activated on either the mobile subscriber's side (subscribers which do not want specific incoming services can activate call barring on international or incoming/outgoing voice and data services) or the operator has determined barring (for mobile subscriber groups with restrictions).
- Status 69 is Rejected by SMSC: Message rejected once delivery was attempted to destination number, this mostly occurs in cases of incorrect message settings.
- Status 249 is Rejected: Message encoding is incorrect, content not corresponding to the message settings (UDH misformed for long messages), unsupported values in data-coding-scheme/message class, or the destination is unreachable.
